Flying Angels Foundation Onlus: traveling to save
To fly seriously ill children all over the world, to reach the hospital where they can be saved or, alternatively, to finance the flights of doctors leaving for health missions: this is the mission of the Flying Angels Foundation, the non-profit organization created by Massimo Pollio, who began to think about this service after witnessing the tragic death of a few days old baby, born in Romania, who needed heart surgery. “In his country there was no possibility of operating it, but we had found a solution here in Italy. Unfortunately, in the time it took to find funds to pay for airline tickets, the boy did not make it. Since then I realized that something had to be done to prevent this terrible story from happening again. ”
The dream came true in 2012 when, thanks to the efforts of a group of Ligurian entrepreneurs, the Flying Angels Foundation was born. Since then, the generosity of supporters and friends has allowed many children from over 70 countries to receive life-saving medical treatment.
